I can offer you most non-veterinary services you could ever want or need for your cats.
In-home Cat Care
If you are going away, whether it be on holiday, going into hospital or travelling for work, I will go anywhere in the Wellington region to care for your cats.
I can go to your house as many times a day as your cats require, to feed them, refresh their water and clean their litter trays.
These visits include spending time with your cats for play time, pats, cuddles and brushing.
I will also take pictures of your cats to send to you so you know they’re safe and happy while you’re away.
If you’re like me and you get a bit anxious about the welfare of your cats when you’re not there, I am very happy to communicate with you as little or as much as you want so you can check in on your cats through me.
An important part of my at home cat care service is having a free, no obligation meet and greet for you and your cats before you go away.
This meet and greet ensures I am the right match to care for your cats but is also a valuable opportunity for you to explain your cats needs to me.
It also gives your cats a chance to get used to me while you’re home so when I come to look after them, they feel a little more comfortable with me.
Medication Services
I am purrfectly comfortable administering medication to cats such as worm tablets, flea treatment and eye drops.
If your cat is on other, specialised medication prescribed by a vet, I am happy to meet with your cat’s vet so I can be trained in how to administer other medications they might need.
Cat Transport (General)
If you need to move your cat from one location to another, I can help with that.
Book a vet appointment and let me know the time and date, I will pick you and your cat up from your house, take you to the appointment, wait while you see the vet and take you and your cat back home.
If you’re moving house, I know it’s a stressful time for both cats and humans but I can relieve some of that stress by transporting your cats from your old house to your new house. I can keep your cats company to get them settled while you take care of everything else moving entails!
Cat Transport to After Hours Vet
If you need transport to the After Hours Vet in Ngauranga, ring me on 0273566491 and I will come and collect you. This service is available 24/7.
Overnight Stays
If your cats need more attention than just having me come and check in on them and feed them a couple of times a day, I am happy to stay overnight at your house so I can keep a closer eye on them.
Delivery of Pet Supplies
Running out of cat food or litter or anything else your furry friends need? Let me know what you need and I will go out and get it for you and deliver it to you as soon as I can (always within the same day!)
Sanitary Shaves
Long haired cats often need a “sanitary shave” or “hygiene cut” as sometimes their poop sticks to their floofy underpants.
This type of groom shaves the fur around a cat’s anus, genitals and inner back legs to prevent this issue. I am not a professional groomer but this type of groom is not about style, it’s about a cat’s hygiene, keeping them clean.
Cat Claw Trimming
Although cats need their claws, they can sometimes get a bit too long and they may start to scratch you or your furniture.
If you hear your cat’s claws clicking when they walk on lino or wooden floors, your cat’s favourite activity is climbing up your legs/body or your cat has accidentally scratched you when feeling a little rambunctious during playtime – A claw trim could definitely benefit you!
A lot of people don’t feel comfortable or confident to trim their cat’s claws themselves but that is not a problem because I am happy to come to your house and do it for you.
Microchip Implantation
I am an approved microchip implanter through the New Zealand Companion Animal Register (NZCAR).
I am available to implant your cat with a microchip in your home and register your cat’s microchip on the NZCAR. This last part is particularly important because a microchip is just a useless number if it is not registered to link it to a person.
An additional service I can now offer for free is microchip scanning.
Whether you want to know if your cat’s microchip is still functional and linked to your details or you find a cat who might be lost and want to find their humans, I now have the ability to scan microchips and use microchip numbers to check the NZCAR for the person who’s details are linked to the microchip.
